Privacy Policy — AI or Not (LinkedIn)
Last updated: July 2026
Summary
AI or Not is a Chrome extension that lets you vote anonymously on whether LinkedIn content looks AI-generated or human-written. We do not collect personal information through the extension.
Data we collect
| Data | Where | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
Random install_id |
Your browser only (Chrome storage) | Derive anonymous per-post voter identity |
voter_key (SHA-256 hash) |
Supabase | One vote per post per browser |
content_id (LinkedIn URN or fallback hash) |
Supabase | Link votes to a post |
| Vote choice (AI or human) | Supabase | Aggregate community percentages |
We do not collect: name, email, LinkedIn profile, post text, or browsing history outside LinkedIn vote actions.
Data we do not sell
We do not sell, rent, or share your data with advertisers or data brokers.
Third parties
- Supabase — hosts the vote database (Supabase privacy policy)
- LinkedIn — the extension runs on linkedin.com; LinkedIn’s own policies apply to your use of their site
- Google Analytics — used on this privacy policy page only to measure anonymous page visits. Google may collect device and usage data as described in the Google Privacy Policy. The Chrome extension itself does not load Google Analytics.
Data retention
Votes are stored indefinitely as anonymous aggregates. There is no account to delete. Uninstalling the extension removes your local install_id; existing votes remain as anonymous hashes and cannot be linked back to you.
Children
This extension is not directed at children under 13.
Changes
We may update this policy. The “Last updated” date will change when we do.
